- We will EXPLORE basic concepts related to consumers and consumerism to analyse consumer habits.

Success Criteria:
Students are going to learn about genetically modified foods and hormones and what these labels mean. At the end of the week they will be able to identify GM foods and recite how they differ from non-GM foods.

Success Criteria:Students are going to become familiar with the different ways that major supermarkets getyou to buy items that you never intended to buy. By the end of the week students willbe able to give specific examples of selling strategies that are used by many stores.

Success Criteria
Students will become familiar with what a scam is and the many different types of scams that are circulating in New Zealand. They will be able to describe at least one specific scam in detail and how to protect yourself. We will also cover CAT preparation.

Success Criteria:
By the end of the week students will be able to define what constitutes a conspiracy theory. In addition, they will be able to describe several key study habits of successful students.

Students will become familiar with what a scam is and the many different types of scams that are circulating in New Zealand. They will be able to describe at least one specific scam in detail and recount several components of that scam in the form of a class presentation that is done in collaboration with other students. -
