    Term One's context i s Tūrangawaewae - Where do we stand?'  where your  transition to Ngahere/Forest Whānau will be supported through our EXPLORATION of Number/Algebra through the  Māori World View.  We will be EXPLORING the Solar System and Matariki (the Māori New Year).

    1.  Set up exercise books for Numeracy Ninja (back) and class work (front).  Complete 10 minute 'Numeracy Ninja' Do Now task. Mark as a class and discuss coloured 'belt' system.

    3.  Explain routines for bookwork (theory).  Book 1 = Numeracy Ninjas/Classwork, Book 2 = Spare (to be kept with Miss Kindley, at school) and Book 3 = For at-home learning (please keep this book at home, ready for use).

    Kia ora 7F1.  This week we continue to explore Number through our context, Tūrangawaewae - Where do we stand?' by looking at very large numbers that can be associated with the Solar System.  Next week we will start to explore Matariki (the Māori New Year) through a 'Statistics lens' (interpreting graphs).

    Kia ora 7F1.  This week we continue to explore Number through our context, Tūrangawaewae - Where do we stand?'  by looking at fractions, decimals and percentages that are associated with 'Camp Adair'.  We are also learning 'averages' (mean, mode, median, and range) which are used in statistics to give information about data and help the user to draw conclusions.  Newton and Fibonacci groups will be working on their Matariki (Māori New Year) activities through a 'Statistics lens' (interpreting graphs).

    7. Glue to secure.  Add a decorative napkin inside your 3D package, place your Honey Rice Bubble Slice into a plastic bag and secure with a twist tie. 
    8. Close and add on package label and gift tag.  Gift to someone special!
