3.) Expectations for PE and Health:
- Always meet in C5 - we will then either stay in class or go to gym. You will always change in our allocated space (gym or sheds), only bringing your PE and your school bags will be locked in my classroom. I will tell you what's up via MHO.
- Make sure you have your PE gear for every PE session!!!! If you don't have it, I will have a discussion with you and if it becomes a regular occurrence I will contact home.

Today, you will be introduced to a skill used in Netball - the chest pass. Throughout the netball pass challenges, you will be working in another new team. Focus on appropriate communication in order to succeed. Finally, you will demonstrate the new skills developed in your team during a modified netball activity.

We will begin to explore games that have shaped the foundation of NZ Maori culture. The first game we will look at is = Ti Uru

Term 1 CONTEXT - Ahurea Tuakiri - Cultural Identity
WEDNESDAY - In-class
This will be our first health session.
1.) Review our class rules that we established in Mates & Dates.
2.) Our previous knowledge - what we bring to the table.
3.) Human reproductive systems.Female Reproductive Systems.
Fallopian tube - pair of tubes in which the egg travels from the ovaries to the uterus
Vagina - connects the uterus to the outside world, an elastic, muscular canal
Uterus - the organ in which a foetus grows
Cervix - the ring link muscle at the bottom of the uterus connecting it to the vagina
Ovary - where ova (eggs) are stored
Clitoris - the sexual stimulation organ in females
Urethra - tube that takes urine from the bladder out of the body
Ova - the egg cell
Vulva - the external area in females, containing the opening of the urethra

Trimesters of pregnancy review.
Consent. What is it? ** giving permission for something to happen. In the context of sex, it is giving permission for someone to engage in a sexual activity with you. We will watch 2 videos on consent. You also covered this with Mates & Dates.
Consent is required when two or more people agree to take part in sexual activity. Without consent from all people involved, sexual activity is illegal. In Aotearoa New Zealand, you must be over 16 years of age to consent to sexual activity. The law is designed to protect young people from being taken advantage of.
