FOCUS / ARONGA learning intentions:
- We are FOCUSING...adapting manual simulation and theoretical simulation
- We are FOCUSING...using two ways tables to predict probability
- We are FOCUSING...playing games to collect data from using dice, spinners and other methods such as online games.
EXPLORE / TŪHURA learning intentions:
- We are EXPLORING...a question of how experimental probability determine a time of meeting for predicting if the meeting of two people take place. How does it relate to theoretical probability.
- We are EXPLORING...to watch "story of love" for an experimental probability
- We are EXPLORING...to use spinners for 'Rod" and 'Roxette' meeting time and see if there is a chance for True Love
Kia ora...Week two Term 2
Success Criteria:
Success Criteria I know …
A probability is a number between 0 and 1. 0 means impossible and 1 means certain
If the outcomes are equally likely, we find the probability of an event by counting the ways it can happen and dividing it by the total number of outcomes
