Year 8 Wai Whanau students have been exploring survival skills and challenges. In maths we have been looking at coordinate grid systems and transformations. For this assessment students will explore the ways in which the Māori culture has preserved its culture and “survived”. Specifically students will explore the preservation of Māori culture through Kōwhaiwhai patterns.
