8W2 Visual Arts- Assessment 1 Pop Art

Students will follow set criteria to plan and to create a safety sign in the style of Pop-Art, using symbolic imagery. Artist models Roy Lichenstein and Andy Warhol will be used as an inspiration and students are to design safety signs using dry and wet media. Students will apply pop-art characteristics and graphical elements with intention, which links to the term’s context for Water Whānau.
