7W1 PEH Assessment 1: Let's Connect through Maori Games
Assessment Instructions
During our context ‘Let’s Connect / Kia Hono’ we have been exploring our personal identity, relationships and the cultures in Te Wai whanau. In PEH we have focussed on how social and cultural practices are expressed through traditional Maori games - Hakariki, Tapu ae and Ki o Rahi.
We have been participating in progressions of these games throughout term 1, reading and understanding the purakau and game whakapapa, incorporating the use of Te Reo Maori during our sessions and discussing the effect of strategy on gameplay.
