      • HOLIDAYS

      • 13 April - 19 April

        Kia ora 9F1,

I hope you are all well and staying safe in your bubbles!! It is a very strange start to the term by teaching online but I am excited to see how it goes.

I will be available on my emails whenever we have a class so PLEASE email me if you have any questions!

This term we are going to be doing a context around "Hauora and Fitness". We also are going to be exploring bones and muscles that we are using when completing fitness activities.

After each session I would like you to think if this session had a positive or negative impact on the focus area of Hauora for that session.

I have email you all a google slide show with what I would like you to complete each sessions. If you are unsure on any of the activities please flick me an email!

I look forward from hearing from you all!!

        What is Hauora?

There are 4 different parts of Hauora.

        1. Taha Tinana- Physical well-being: the physical body, its growth, development, and ability to move, and ways of caring for it

        1. Taha hinengaro - Mental and emotional well-being: expressing thoughts and feelings and responding constructively

        1. Taha whanau - Social well-being: family relationships, friendships, and other interpersonal relationships; feelings of belonging, compassion, and caring; and social support

        2. Taha wairua - Spiritual well-being: the values and beliefs that determine the way people live

Hauora can be described as a house

Each aspect of Hauora is like a wall in a house.

All four walls need to be strong for the house to be a strong and balanced house.

This is the same as a person. A person needs to have all four of their walls (aspects of Hauora) strong to be a balanced, strong person.

Session two: We are focusing on improving our spiritual well being.
