    Kia ora 9C1, welcome to PE and Health for 2020!

    This week we will focus on creating expectations for values and behaviour for 2020.

    We want to create a safe learning space for all students who feel comfortable to participate in physical activity, try new challenges and contribute to class discussion.

    Achievement Objectives: 

    L3 - Personal growth and development: Identify factors that affect personal, physical, social and emotional growth and develop skills to manage these changes.

    L4 - Interpersonal Skills: Describe and demonstrate a range of assertive communication skills and processes that enable them to interact appropriately with other people

    Big Idea: Developing a safe learning environment for all students in PEH.

    Learning Intentions: 

    We are learning to demonstrate positive behaviour for learning in PE with a focus on supporting, encouraging and assisting each other

    This week we continue with our remote and online learning. 

    Please see your Google Classroom for all of the activities and information relating to your PEH learning for the next two weeks.

    This involves working through the At Home Learning Journal - this has a range of tasks and activities relating to physical activity and well-being. 

    Lockdown trick shot challenge - A fun way to learn about projectile motion, this will also double as a Coast Whanau trick shot challenge where we'll make a compilation video from all of your videos and students will vote for their favourite trick shot. 

    **IMPORTANT - We will complete out Term One Assessment at a later date after the return to school plan is known. In the meantime, please continue developing your knowledge and understanding of anatomy of the Musculoskeletal system, and the role of Balance and Stability in various movements.

    We will begin to look forward to a new context for learning and shift our current activities to the 'back seat' . Meaning, I would still like you to continue completing the At Home Learning Journal once a week, and continue submitting your trick shot challenge entries.

    Hey everyone!

    It's great to see you back. We will be spending time this week re-connecting with each other and moving. Plan on all of our sessions being practical, fun and energetic. Please ensure you bring your PE gear as normal.

    As a learning area we will be taking practical steps to ensure we adhere to health and safety guidelines. Including limiting the amount of equipment used, non-contact activities and some small changes to changing.
