Pitching your idea is a little like writing a speech. Keep in mind that we will work together as a class and have about 7 different departments over looking each section of the film production.
Your pitch could be for an advertisement, a trailer for a movie, public service announcement, very short film, or it could be a promotional clip that goes on the MHJC website.
Next session you are all expected to present your idea/pitch to the class and we will vote on the most interesting and doable pitch.

WE ARE LEARNING TO INTEGRATE AND ARRANGE INFORMATION INTO A STORYBOARD - USING YOUR PHONE
YOU WILL KNOW YOU HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL WHEN YOU HAVE - DOWNLOADED VILLO
RECORDED MULTIPLE CLIPS AND ANGLES TO MAKE A PASSIONATE VIDEO ABOUT AN AREA IN YOURV LIFE YOU CONNECT TO :
- selected at least 10 camera angles / shots to create a presentation about a passion
- defined each technique briefly
- drafted/sketched an original image which showcases each technique you have selected
- begun creating your image in a storyboard that shows the different Film Techniques you are going to create and present in your presentation. You must explain what is going to be shown in each image, with specific details regarding the angle, shot, and any movement that may be included.
- begun to consider the purpose / use of each Film Technique in the shot and how it impacts the audience
- recorded your contributions in a document and use your Villo App to unpack this.
- Have this ready with 2 weeks to discuss in your class.

We are now moving towards our first Assessment
You have used Villo (the app) on your phone. You have expressed some success here. A reflection indicates a weak story board.
You will now create your CV (curriculum vitae) but this time using a 1 - 2 minute video to unpack yourself
1. I am looking for 30 seconds of a verbal introduction (please dress up for this and use props and lighting to support your recording)
2. I am looking for 30-90 seconds of footage that supports your vocation (what you love) - use venue like Harvey Norman , cafes , bakeries to capture footage that reflects your passion
Your video will graded mainly by creativity and impact / music etc - please note this video will be uploaded on your You tube link and attached to your CV.
Have Fun explore camera angles and lighting together with sound.
How to unpack your passion or skills

USE THIS REAL LIFE LIKE QUOTE FROM THE DAY
During the Christmas truce, a British soldier was asked why he was crying. “I’m not crying because of how beautiful it is. I’m crying because tomorrow it will be like none of this happened, and we’ll be back to killing each other.”

The story is about a man named Walter Mitty, who has extremely vivid daydreams that serve as an escape from his mundane real life. While Mitty is a fictional character, James Thurber said that he loosely based the character off of a friend from his own life named Walter Mithoff, who was prone to frequent daydreams.24
Walter Mitty
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is a story about life, and how it is something to be seized and enjoyed, before it is too late. The message of the movie is that life is not something to be whiled away in abject misery, patiently counting off the days until death.
