Welcome to Fashion and Design.
My name is Mrs Hewlett and I am excited to be leading your learning journey in Fashion and Design this year.
We have our Learning Intentions on MHO but all our activities will be on Google Classroom. There will be work that needs doing at home so that you can use the lessons at school for making stuff.

- We are EXPLORING what soft materials and textiles are by identifying different types of soft materials and textiles in our daily lives.
- We are EXPLORING safety when working in the Fabric Technology room and when working with equipment and tools by identifying the correct safety procedures.
- We are EXPLORING how to use safely and correctly equipment and tools by demonstrating how to use the sewing machine and tools to construct a Phone or ipad plop.
- We are EXPLORING how to use the correct technique for making a plain seam by demonstrating that i can thread the machine top and bottom and sew a straight stitch and zig zag..
