Food Technology:
EXPLORE / TŪHURA learning intentions:
- We are EXPLORING food and kitchen safety by recognising the difference between food safety, kitchen safety and personal hygiene.
- We are EXPLORING food and kitchen safety by researching how to prepare "safe" food in an "accident-free" way.
Success criteria: I can/have.....
- identify examples of food safety, kitchen safety and personal hygiene
- explain how to work safely and prepare "safe" food in the kitchen

Design Technology
EXPLORE / TŪHURA learning intentions:
We are EXPLORING the Technology Design Process by developing an understanding of some of the different processes we can follow to create a product.
We are EXPLORING - the need or problem by identifying/asking/ figuring out what the problem is that we need to solve and what materials you have available to make/solve
We are EXPLORING - by researching the need (explore ideas) - brainstorm ideas (a minimum of 4 ideas) of how to create your product (Pop up card).
Success criteria: I can/have.....
Listed the 9 steps of the Technology Design Process
Worked through the Great Ako / Technology Design Process recording my progress in a google document or on google slides and recorded my actions on the Assessment Diary
Identified what the problem is that i need to solve using the materials i have on hand
Researched and recorded a few different ideas and then decided on the absolute best.
Activities:
Using the Student Journal - work through Pages 1,2,3.
Using the Student Journal page 4 onwards - Let's Get Going ……follow these Steps / Key Stages. Complete Key Stage/Steps 1 and 2 for EXPLORE. Record your answers on your slide show or google doc.
Fill in your Assessment Diary of your progress as you work through the Key Stages/ Steps to create your pop up card.
