  • Kia ora 9W1, this week heralds our shift into stringent, tight focusing on texts as sources of information you need to be able to decode for your own purposes. Firstly, a second round of informational writing, focusing on a short story that challenges the reader to list and explain a variety of Te Reo words.

    Visual texts will be part of your upcoming assessment, being part of the evidence you need to decipher. To this end, your task will be to learn about visual texts and how to properly break them down, as well continuing our term-long focus on grammar conventions and accuracy of writing.

    Success Criteria:

    • I will be able to answer a variety of questions on different kinds of texts, with a focus on visual texts and how they can be deciphered for information.
