First off, welcome back! Let me introduce myself - Ms Grant - agrant@mhjc.school.nz
Learning Intention:
We are learning different rules, techniques, and physiology functions, that relate to sport in order to understand how movement strategies can be acquired and then applied to a variety of sports.
Success Criteria:

Identify different movement strategies that are found in multiple sports (invasion games)

List the key muscles/bones of the human body

Describe 3 movement strategies that can be used in invasion games

Describe the relationship between bones and muscles in relation to human movement

Explain the importance of movement strategies and why knowledge of them is important to sporting success

Demonstrate these movement strategies across different invasion games

Evaluate your own ability to use movement strategies in different invasion games.

3.) Expectations for PE and Health:
- Always meet in W6 - we will then either stay in class or go to gym and change. Or locations will change termly.
- Make sure you have your PE gear for every PE session!!!! If you don't have it, I will have a discussion with you and if it becomes a regular occurrence I will contact home. This includes a hat for Terms 1 and 4.

Term 1 CONTEXT - History's Mysteries . . .
MONDAY - Holiday (but normally in-class for Health/Theory)
THURSDAY - Practical - Rugby
Our context this term is History's Mysteries, we are going to connect to Science by looking at the muscles/bones so you have a further understanding of how mumification works. This will also help with our anatomy knowledge and movement strategies connection.
Practically, we will look at Invasion Games (a modern take on war) and how movement strategies can help with the playing success of these games. What are some invasion games you would like to play/learn the strategies behind?
