Term 1/ Week 8-11

EXPLORE / TŪHURA learning intentions:

• We are EXPLORING...our heritage by researching culturally significant symbols
• We are EXPLORING... painting techniques (scraping, dabbing, blending, flicking) by observing teacher demonstration
• We are EXPLORING...our drawing and painting ability to connect with the painting unit

FOCUS / ARONGA learning intentions:

• We are FOCUSING... on selecting places, objects and symbols that are of significance to students
• We are FOCUSING... on developing painting techniques

From this week (Wk 8) until the end of Term 1, we will continue with our Tūrangawaewae painting project.

From this week until WEEK 11, we will be painting our sections. It is important to be constantly referring to an image reference when painting, as this will ensure you are accurately capturing every detail and texture of your chosen subject matter.
