    FOCUS / ARONGA

    FOCUS / ARONGA learning intentions:

    • We are FOCUSING on how the different food groups influence our eating habits and discuss the effects it has on the human body.
    • We are FOCUSING on the different meals and exercises that were used during the War compared to modern society, so that we can adapt it to ourselves and be able to discuss the different resources that have been used overtime

    Monday-  Practical session - Gym 

    Learning Intention: We are exploring the context of Develop, Do, Change by listing what major food groups that we commonly consume, and analyse how they influence our physical well being. 

    Please meet in class before heading down to the gym. We will be doing the cross country route for this lesson. Please do not forget your full PE gear. 

    Wednesday- In class session


    Learning Intentions-We are exploring the context of Develop, Do, change by identifying the different food groups that make up a healthy meal plan. 

    Today I will be introducing Fats.You must bring your health books and devices. 

    Success Criteria: 

    By the end of this lesson you will know and understand: 

    - what Fats are is and why it is important in a healthy diet plan. 

    - where to find Fat in your foods. 


    Thursday- In class session

    Learning Intentions-We are exploring the context of Develop, Do, change by identifying the different food groups that make up a healthy meal plan.

    Today I will be introducing the food pyramid to you.
      

    Success Criteria: 
    By the end of this lesson you will be able to:

    - understand what the food pyramid is by identifying the different food groups that should be consumed less than others. 
    - understand why it is important in a healthy diet plan.
