    • Identify what a convention is and what its purpose is
    • Identify some conventions
    • Devise short skits using 2-3 conventions 
    • Critic other performances and identify what conventions were used, and if they were effective

    Activities:

    1. Rehearse a skit, select a range on conventions, make decisions around if they are effective or not.  
    2. Perform to class - accepting criticism, and feedback for improvements
    3. offering other groups feedback to help them improve
    4. Identify some conventions we have scene in TV, Movies or Plays - Slow motion, Freeze Frame, Split Scene, Flashback/forward, Conscience, Spoken Thought, Overheard, Telephone, Ghosting, Invisibility, Symbol, Stage Fight, Ritual Ceremony, Music, Dance, Poetry, Song, Lights, Costume/Make-up, Sound Effects
