  • Welcome back to school after the holiday break. 

    Remember you have these 2 lessons this week to do your Fabric Decorating sample for your Assessment. You can make a sample or do the decoration method directly onto a top and hand in with your Case Study. 

    Assessment 2 is due Friday Week 3.  

    Weeks 1- 4

    Learning Intentions:

        • We are FOCUSING on cutting out our Boxers or Sweatshirts so that we can start to construct.

        • We are EXPLORING & FOCUSSING on Fabric Decoration Methods that we might be able to decorate on a top to match our boxers or put on our Sweatshirt.

        • We are PLANNING/MAKE & DO -constructing our Boxers and using a Fabric Decoration Method so that we can sew our Boxers together and decorate a top that matches our boxers


    Success Criteria:
    I can/have cut out my pattern for Boxers or a Sweatshirt and pinned the pieces together to show the teacher before sewing.
    I can/have worked through the construction steps to make my boxers or sweatshirt.
    I can/have explored different methods of decorating fabric 
    I can/have chosen a fabric decoration method and used it for decorating a top to go with my Boxers.

    Activities:

    Start constructing your Boxers or Sweatshirt - follow instructions from the teacher demo and from in the Boxer Journal.
    Participate in the workshops on Fabric Decorating Methods - choose 1 you like the best to use on your top and /or use this for your Assessment 2.

    Anaaya / Joanne/ Arushi
     - continue working on the Sweatshirt Challenge Doc. When you have your Design worked out - try and work out a sequence of construction now that you know the changes you are making from the basic pattern steps.
    Please get your pattern onto your fabric and cut out asap.
    Participate in the FDM workshops - make a sample for your Assessment 2 or apply to your Sweatshirt and submit a picture with your assessment.
