    EXPLORE / TŪHURA learning intentions:

    • We are EXPLORING various cultural games from different regions and ethnicities around the world by recognising and understanding the historical, social, and cultural significance of these games within their respective contexts.
    • We are EXPLORING our context by analysing the rules, mechanics, and gameplay elements of cultural games, connecting similarities and differences and how they integrate with popular mainstream games.
    • We are EXPLORING our context by recognizing the role of cultural games in promoting social interaction, community cohesion, and storytelling. Also be able to create opportunities for collaborative learning and cultural exchange by sharing knowledge and experiences of cultural games with others.

    Welcome back to Term 3 !!! Hope you have all had a wonderful break ready for the new term.
     
    Your context for this term is " Our action can unite or divide communities " 

    You will be focusing on a range of cultural games that may stem from your cultural upbringing or background. This will lead into our assessment for the term which will be demonstrating your understanding of Ki Ō rahi

    For Health you will be focusing on Sex Ed for the first four weeks and moving onto Politics/ Women in Sport when I return back to school. 

    Please remember: You will have a reliever for the next four weeks while I am away overseas.
     You will also have two Health lessons per week and one practical lesson. 
    Learning Intention:  
    • We are EXPLORING various cultural games from different regions and ethnicities around the world by recognising and understanding the historical, social, and cultural significance of these games within their respective contexts.

    Monday HEA

    Success Criteria 

    By the end of this lesson, you should be able to: 

    -  Identify and describe at least five cultural games from different regions and ethnicities around the world.

    Today, you will be completing activities on Ed Puzzle and a worksheet that requires you to read a passage, answer questions and provide long answers that helps you to think critically to deepen your understanding of our content. 


    Tuesday- HEA
    Today will be your Sex Ed Health Sessions with Ms Shields in C11. 

    Wednesday Practical

    Success Criteria 
    By the end of this lesson, you will be able to: 
    - Understand the rules and successfully work together with your team to be the first to remove the hoops. 

    Today will be a practical lesson. You are required to bring full PE gear. 
    You will be playing Ti Uru. You are familiar with this game therefore can self referee.
