  • Kia ora...this is week 1 of a 3/4 week introduction course for food and fabrics.

    Food Technology will be taught by Mrs Roodt and Fabric Technology will be taught by Mrs Priest. After 5 weeks, we will swap and the class who started with Food will then do Fabric and so on. We are very excited to meet you.

    IN FABRIC TECHNOLOGY: 

    We will start by looking at Health and Safety Practises in the Tech room, We will learn about the Technology Design Process, we will learn about tying knots and we will start sewing out face mask.

    Success Criteria: I can/have...

    • know where my class is and who my team members are
    • know where to find the equipment needed
    • participate in class activities
    • gain an awareness of fabric room safety
    • an understanding why the Technology Design Process is useful

    EXPLORE / TŪHURA learning intentions:

    • We are EXPLORING how to work safely in the kitchen by classifying kitchen safety, food safety and personal hygiene.
