• We are EXPLORING...entrepreneurs to observe the characteristics that have helped them be successful
• We are EXPLORING...entrepreneurs to identify the skills needed to become an entrepreneur
• We are EXPLORING...social enterprise to investigate the purpose of these enterprises

What is Enterprise?

During the first week we are going to get to know each other better and look at the course expectations.

Our learning outcome for this week is to be able to understand the definition of Social Enterprise and to be familiar with the different concepts in Enterprise. We will explore the the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and identify actions that could help us to work towards achieving these goals. We will also look at how we could work towards these goals in our own local community.

• Define enterprise & social enterprise.
• Understand the importance of business activity on society
• Recognise the benefits and drawbacks of business activity on our society and globally
• Identify the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by the United Nations
• Brainstorm ideas about how we can act locally to achieve these goals in our own community
