Context - Movement
Achievement Objectives:
Movement skills (4B1)
- Demonstrate consistency and control of movement in a range of situations.
This term we will be focussing on developing a range of movement skills/ We will do pre and post testing on the following skills:
1. Passing a basketball from 5 metres away and successfully hitting a target 20 times
2. Dribbling a basketball with control while running over 20 metres
3. Making 20 basketball "free throws"
4. You ability to play and understand the game of basketball
Learning intentions: We are learning to (WALT)...
Understand and demonstrate the basic technique of passing and catching a basketball
Understand and demonstrate the basic technique of dribbling a basketball with control
Understand and demonstrate the basic technique of performing a basketball "free throw"
Understand and participate in a game of basketball
Success criteria
Apply the basic motor skill of successfully passing and catching a basketball
Apply the basic motor skill of successfully dribbling a basketball

Activities
- Pre testing of basketball passing
- Practical session of basketball passing
- Playing 3v3 games
