- A broad understanding of classification based on cells (uni/multi) and backbone (vertebrate/invertebrate) with examples
Activities:
- Why do we need to classify - Record responses on board
- Come up as a class, with a criteria to classify living and non-living things
- Attempt living, dead or never lived activity
- Copy a simple classification key based on vertebrates/invertebrates and uni/multi cellular
- Design a simple key to classify writing tools - pens, pencils, whiteboard markers etc
