    We will dive into our context this term.

    Learning Intention:

     We are developing team spirit and a sense of belonging/relationships in Coast whanau/MHJC

    Success Criteria

    • Define Who You Are
    • Define each aspect of Hauora and be able to provide examples for in connection to who you are
    • Understand the key components of teamwork
    • Develop lists of what our class needs in order to function as a team - skill/leadership/respect wise
    • Participate in all the activities that support our growth as a team
    • Investigate how you can build the understanding of yourself to help others
    • Find ways in which our new supportive team can create a greater sense of belonging in Coast (this is done in collaboration with English and Global) so that you can work together to solve a community issue

     

     


    This term, across your learning areas, you will be developing your interpersonal skills and learning about leadership, and the role people play in a team or community group.

    In time, you will be identifying a community issue and solving the following problem: how do we teach the community about how we can work together to find a solution for the community issue?

    Today, you will be introduced to a skill used in Netball - the chest pass.  Throughout the netball pass challenges, you will be working in another new team.  Focus on appropriate communication in order to succeed.  Finally, you will demonstrate the new skills developed in your team during a modified netball activity.
