    We will dive into our context this week.

    Learning Intention:

     We are developing team spirit and a sense of belonging/relationships in Coast whanau/MHJC

    Success Criteria
    • Define Who You Are
    • Experience different opportunities of work with others in your class
    • Understand the key components of teamwork
    • Develop lists of what our class needs in order to function as a team - skill/leadership/respect wise
    • Participate in all the activities that support our growth as a team and work to run a tournament
    • Investigate how you can build the understanding of yourself to help others
    • Find ways in which our new supportive team can create a greater sense of belonging in Coast (this is done in collaboration with English and Global)

     

     


    This term, across your learning areas, you will be developing your interpersonal skills and learning about leadership, and the role people play in a team or community group.

    In time, you will be identifying a community issue and solving the following problem: how do we teach the community about how we can work together to find a solution for the community issue.


    Term 1 CONTEXT - The ME in Team

    WEDNESDAY - Practical session

    Leadership and Teamwork.  Have you worked as a team?

    Buddy work and challenges.  Over the course of the session, you will be finding 3 different buddies and working through class challenges.  The purpose of this session is to work with peers you might not normally choose to work with.  It will provide you an opportunity to find out how others work and their strengths.


    THURSDAY - Practical session

    Rivercrossing . . . in the gym with benches. You will be assigned a team and a challenge to complete with your group. How were you successful in your team?  What did you need to demonstrate with your peers?
