    We will continue Sexuality this week.

    Learning Intention:

     We are learning how to stay safe in the future as we graduate MHJC and continue on to future education and become young adults.

     

    Success Criteria

    • Define the different types changes in puberty
    • Understand the different aspects of the human reproductive systems
    • Understand the impact of personal choice as we go through puberty
    • Explore how the media can impact someone's well-being with respect to who they identify as.
    • Evaluate the topic of sexuality, media, and peer pressure.

    • Consent.  What is it? ** giving permission for something to happen.  In the context of sex, it is giving permission for someone to engage in a sexual activity with you. We will watch 2 videos on consent.  You also covered this with Mates & Dates.


      Consent is required when two or more people agree to take part in sexual activity. Without consent from all people involved, sexual activity is illegal. In Aotearoa New Zealand, you must be over 16 years of age to consent to sexual activity. The law is designed to protect young people from being taken advantage of.
