    • Understand  different types of drugs and why people might try them in the first place.  
    • Started new P.E. assessment on skill development

    Activities:

    1. Class discussion on what are some different drugs they are aware of:  Alcohol, cigarettes, marijuana, heroin, cocaine, Acid, E, P, Meth, Synthetics, prescriptions
    2. Looked at types of drugs - stimulant, depressant (uppers/downers) hallucinogens
    3. Discussed different reasons why teenagers or people might try drugs, - boredom, curiosity, to escape, to have fun, peer pressure, Numb pain
    4. Discussed assessment and requirements
    5. Practiced first skills in P.E.
