• Reflect on your Understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi
• what would happen if peace declaration were not created
• create your own peace treaty

Success Criteria: I can/have...

• understand the importance and significance of a peace declaration and  peace treaty
• design and create your own peace treaty

Activities:

1. What do you think is a peace declaration . Research this in detail
2. Why is it important especially for countries at war to have peace declaration. what would be the consequence if they did not have one.
3. See videos on peace declarations and peace treaties.
4. List Peace treaties from around the world.
5. Reflect on the Treaty of Waitangi and provide an understanding of this document.
6. Start planning your peace treaty, Think of the important message your would encompass .
7. Design this in the form of a scroll or something unique.
8. Begin creating your peace treaty.
