    Kia ora 8F2 for the  next 3 weeks we are changing to Food Technology. We will be starting by looking at Codes of Practice that we must follow to work in the kitchen safely and correctly.

    We will be using a slide show and activity sheet on Google Classroom plus talking about this in class and doing some practical cooking lessons.

    EXPLORING in Food Tech

    Learning Intentions are on the slide show and below:

    We are learning .....

    • About the rules and routines to follow in the Food Tech room

    • How to follow a recipe

    • How to work safely in the food tech room

    • About the importance of hygiene when cooking - kitchen/ food and personal hygiene.

    • How to prepare food correctly

    • SO that we can cook food correctly and safely in the Food Tech Room.

    • Our recipes are Savoury Loaf, French Toast and Pizza Roll Ups - please see Google Classroom.

    • Participated in a discussion about the rules and routines to follow in the Food Tech roo

    • Identified a good and badly written recipe and listened to the teacher explain the parts of a recipe and how to follow a recipe

    • Identified the importance of hygiene when cooking - kitchen/ food and personal hygiene

    • Learnt some new skills on how to prepare food correctly

    E TEXTILES WITH MRS PRIEST


    Kia ora and welcome to Week 10 of Term 2! This week we will be starting to learn about the bookmark we will be creating. I will be your teacher for the next 3 weeks, until the end of Term 2.

    On Monday we will be watching a video about E Textiles and learning about E Textiles. After that we will be completing a research on bookmarks.

    On Wednesday we will be learning the basics like making a knot and threading a needle, as well as showing you the process of how we will sew our bookmark and learn about its components.

    On Thursday you will be researching bookmarks online and sketching a bookmark design that you are going to carry out next week. Exciting times!!

    Success Criteria:

    I have watched all videos, attempted all given tasks and completed a bookmark sketch.
