    This week we will continue to learn about using Modelling techniques to refine and present our  teenage retreat.

    You must show how different materials and modelling techniques to explore Aesthetic features, Functional features and Human factors for your chosen design. How does it look, How does it work , and how does it fit the stakeholders' needs.

    Big Idea:  

    Teenage Retreat

    Learning Intentions: We are learning to (WALT).

    • Investigate a variety of modelling materials and joining techniques 
    • Understand how different materials can be represented at scale.
    • Build a scale 1:50 roof truss
    • Success Criteria: 
    • I have used a variety of different materials to build  my model.
    • I have used ______________ for the cladding to represent weatherboards
    • I have used_______________for the landscaping features to represent trees and foliage.
    • I have constructed a roof truss which will support by roof

    Activities: Complete the floorplan and walls and roof truss of the retreat and landscape feature.

    TASK :Create a new roof design. Consider shade, wind and rain protection but also height restrictions in relation to the boundary and any existing houses.


    Create a pleasant outdoor area for the teenage stakeholder. Use the tiles, plants and shades,verandahs, patio, foundations,
