Section outline

  • Kia ora 9F1,

It was great to see you all getting involved in the games last week. You all really focused on including everyone. As you could see I adapted the rules so that everyone had success. This will be important when you are creating your game.

    Learning Intention:

We are learning to develop our interpersonal skills and relationships with one another

    Success Criteria:

    - I can identify what are the key aspects that make a functional team member

-I can describe different ways I can communicate with different team members to ensure everyone has a voice

-I can explain different roles within and responsibilities within my group

-I can apply appropriate responses and assertive communication to creating a game and teaching the class

    Activities:

Speedball: focus on communicating differently with different people (using hand gestures, not just voice the full time)

    FOCUS / ARONGA

    FOCUS / ARONGA learning intentions:

    • We are FOCUSING on discussing the difference between what resources and equipment we have in New Zealand compared to the pacific islands.
    • We are FOCUSING on adapting games so that they could be available no matter what equipment schools have.
    • We are FOCUSING on working together to develop our own games.
