    Kia Ora Y7. From this week, our context is 'Get Moving, Get Grooving.'  This week, we have 1 session with W1 and 2 with W2. We will learn about 'Compare and Contrast' as you will compare and contrast different kinds of celebrations in Global Studies. 

    Big Idea:

    Get Moving, Get Grooving

    Activities: 

    -Learning about 'Compare & Contrast.'

    -Vocabulary for 'Comparison.'

    -Vocabulary for 'Contrast.'

    Focus: 

    -We are FOCUSING on developing a script for the culture performance showcase.

    -We are FOCUSING on identifying different cultural celebrations for events.

    Learning Intentions: 

    We are exploring ......the differences between our own and other people's cultural celebrations by comparing and contrasting different cultures. 

    We are exploring... cultural celebrations by understanding the connections between oral, written and visual language

    We are exploring...cultural celebrations by having an awareness of purpose and audience through our deliberate choices relating to content, language and text form
