  • Week 6: (9-13th March 2020)

     

    Kia Ora Class. Last week, you were at the camp. This week, we are learning about the features of ‘Visual Language.’ We will use these features later to create our Badge/ Static Image.

    Activities:

    • Learning about elements of Visual Language.

    • Learning about how to use those elements in our Static Image.

    


    Learning Intentions: (We are learning to...)

    


    We are exploring.......cultural identity by reading 
 stories/texts about  identity, whanau, culture, friendship etc.


    


    We are exploring.......cultural identity by reflecting on our own identity, whanau
 & culture and integrating it with our learning


    


    We are exploring....... the elements of Visual Language within indigenous art/culture by observing and
 understanding symbols and examples


    


    We are exploring.......Visual Language by applying its elements to construct a Static
 Image (Personal Badge) based on Big Ideas of the context.


    


    We are exploring....... the connections between oral, written, and visual language by creating a
 collaborative text (Personal Badge) 


    


    Focus.......
 We will create a personal badge (Static Image) by applying  the elements of Visual Language and integrating it with the values of our identity, whanau & culture.
