Did you know that Korea used to be spelled Corea. After the invasion  and occupation of Korea by Japan in 1910 (to 1953), Japan decided to change the spelling of Korea from Corea to Korea. Why?

It was said so that when the Olympic games came on Korea would now enter the stadium behind Japan. As J comes before K in the alphabet. And countries enter the stadium in alphabetical order. People in Korea today still can be seen wearing t shirts with the Corea spelling on them.
