9OED Assessment 2: Into the Wild

Assessment Instructions and Task:

During term 2, and 3 in Outdoor Education we will be exploring camping and tramping skills, with particular focus on how we can use these skills for managing risk prior to and during an outdoor trip.

You will have opportunities to:

• Discover camping and tramping skills and knowledge to participate safely and successfully

• Identifying risk and options for how to mitigate risk both pre-trip and during.

Your assessment task:

• Apply your learnings of pre trip planning and preparation by submitting an individually completed RAMs form and intentions form onto MHOL (templates provided)

• Demonstrate camping and tramping skills and your ability to act with safety in mind while preparing for and participating in a day tramp.
