New Zealand Drinking Culture

In Health, we have begun to look at the impacts of alcohol on the New Zealand population and the connection to New Zealand’s binge drinking culture. The Must do activities completed in week’s 2 & 3 will prepare you for completing this assessment. All the resources are available on your classes course page on Google Classroom.

For this assessment, you will be creating an infographic or presentation on the short and long term effects of alcohol use on individuals, with a focus on teenagers and the effect thereof on the greater New Zealand.

• You must outline the short and long term effect of binge drinking on a teenager (Give at least 4 short term and 4 long term effects)

• You must indicate how their use of alcohol has contributed to New Zealand’s binge drinking culture. (1 comprehensive paragraph)

• You must indicate how alcohol use affects their Hauora. (Include all 4 dimensions: Physical, Mental & Emotional, Social, Spiritual)
