8F1 Global Studies Assessment 3

Completion requirements
Opened: Wednesday, 2 September 2020, 12:00 AM
Due: Friday, 11 September 2020, 8:00 PM

The Coronavirus has restricted travel around the world, as countries close their borders to visitors. During your ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ learning journey, you will be developing a key Social Science skill (mapping) to show the status of global travel restrictions.

On your map, you must locate the newly conceived Cook Islands ‘travel bubble’ and use your ‘Key’ to colour code it’s travel status for New Zealanders.  As this map is to inform the planning of your dream holiday you will also need to locate key features such as oceans, continents and tourism hotspots.  The requirements of this assessment are…

• Applying Mapping Features: Show your understanding of ‘FACKTS’ in the construction of your map
• Using Map Sources: Show the location of oceans, continents and the ‘7 Wonders of the World.’
• Paragraph Writing: Write a SEXY paragraph to show you can interpret several key ideas from the two
 ‘Global Travel Restrictions’ resources provided.
