Year 8 PEH Workbook

Completion requirements
Opened: Thursday, 23 July 2020, 12:00 AM

An understanding of environments, health and cultural perspectives in Physical Health Education.

In PEH we have been looking at how sport games are categorised.  You will be involved in a wide variety of different sporting games and looking for the different ways in which these games are categorised.  You will enhance your knowledge and understanding of the basic objectives, skills, strategies and tactics required for each type of game. We will then explore cultural survival through time - What games survived? What games may have been lost? What has caused this to happen? We have also looked at how the “playing environment” dictates human action.  All of you will get the opportunity to share games from your own culture. You will look at the similarities and also the differences from what we would consider traditional New Zealand games and also correctly categorise your own games.

You will be assessed on your knowledge and understanding and also your ability to perform the necessary sport/games skills.
