Welcome to Mountains whanau, my name is Ms Wessels and I am your Physical Education & Health (PEH) teacher
This term we will be focusing on the context: Survival, this will involve interpersonal skills & relationships. Basics of movements/ motion and games
I'm really looking forward to getting to know you all this year.
A reminder that we will have our P.E. sessions every Tuesday and Friday - please remember your PE gear, hat and water bottle. Our Health sessions will be every Wednesday (please bring your health book)

This week we will continue with team buildings games/activities whilst looking at the interpersonal skills required and used during those activities.
Tuesday: Please meet in M11 and we will then go to the courts change rooms to change and we will continue with a team building games/ activity

- We are PLANNING to practise and demonstrate our knowledge of interpersonal skills and relationships whilst playing Multi sport and will be observed for these skills to complete the practical component of your assessment

In line with term 2's focus, we will be exploring different types of games and sports and how they are classified, how they started and how they have changed over time.
Step 1: Please open the slides called Sports and PE Games: Categorisations and Innovations (a copy has been made for each student) and read slides 2 - 9.
Step 2: Complete slides 11 - 14 using slides 6 - 9 as an example.
