    Welcome to Mountains whanau, my name is Ms Wessels and I am your Physical Education & Health (PEH) teacher

    This term we will be focusing on the context: Survival, this will involve interpersonal skills & relationships. Basics of movements/ motion and games

    I'm really looking forward to getting to know you all this year.

    A reminder that we will have our P.E. sessions every Tuesday and Friday - please remember your PE gear, hat and water bottle.  Our Health sessions will be every Wednesday (please bring your health book)

      This week we will continue with team buildings games/activities whilst looking at the interpersonal skills required and used during those activities.

      Tuesday: Please meet in M11 and we will then go to the courts change rooms to change and we will continue with a team building games/ activity

      Wednesday: Please meet in M11 and we will have Health where we will look at Activity 1 that you have been assigned on Google Classroom - please make sure it is complete! You will be assigned activity 2 and complete it in class time today!

      Step 1: Please open the slides called Sports and PE Games: Categorisations and Innovations (a copy has been made for each student) and read slides 2 - 9. 

      Step 2: Complete slides 11 - 14 using slides 6 - 9 as an example.

              Welcome back to term 4, I hope you have had a well deserved break and are ready to enjoy your last term of the year!


              Within the context of Space, this term we will be learning and playing net, wall and target games that focus on the importance of using elements of space successfully to play the games.

              • This week we will be collaborating with Ms Katafono to look at the science behind paper planes and objects flying through the air (space) and how this impacts how you throw a ball/ object in PE games and sports
