      I hope you are all well and staying safe in your bubbles!! It is a very strange start to the term by teaching online but I am excited to see how it goes.

      We are going to put NCEA on hold. Do not stress we will complete it when we return to school!!

      This term we are going to be doing a context around "Drugs and Fitness"

      I have email you all a google slide show with what I would like you to complete each sessions. If you are unsure on any of the activities please flick me an email!

      Session one: We are exploring different drugs.

      I would like you to create a slideshow around drugs and substances. In this slideshow I would like you to put the following

      • What is a recreational drug- give an example

      • What is a non recreational drug- give an example

      • Explain what the drug is

      • Find a picture of your drug

      • Short term effects of the drug

      • Long term effects of the drug

      Session two: We are focussing on improving our mental and emotional well-being by getting active.

      For this session you need a timer which you set for 20 mins. You then can use the online dice. Whatever number comes up you complete that exercise. You can choose between the red or black exercises.

      Session three: We are focusing on improving our spiritual well being.

      Your task for this session is to complete this Yoga class. It is important for your spiritual well-being to sometimes stop and slow yourself down. It is important we are focusing on all 4 aspects of our well-being.

      Kia ora 10F1,

      Session one: We are focusing on “Should cannabis be legal or should it be illegal?”. 

      In this session you are going to be adding to your slideshow that you started last week. 

      Your task is to provide 3 points as to why you think it should be legal such as it has benefits for medical purposes and 3 points as to why it should be illegal.

      Session two: We are focusing on improving our physical well being.

      Task one:

      Your task for this session is to complete this body combat class. Open this up on your computer and follow through the class. It is a great way to get your heart rate up and good fun.

      Session three: We are focussing on improving our mental and emotional well-being by getting active.

      Today’s task is to complete the Pyramid workout. You need to select which level you are at and complete the pyramid at that level. Let me know if you are unsure about  any of the exercises. Remember it is important to push yourself.

Do you think it should be legal or illegal! There is no correct answer! I want to hear what you think!! If you haven't shared your work with me please do so!!

      Week Three: Session One- Cannabis

      Your task for today is to select a side either to make Cannabis legal or to keep it illegal.

      You need to write a paragraph justifying your reason as to why you believe it should be legal OR illegal.

      Session one: We are focussing on Decision making in terms of Alcohol

      Task: Your task for this week is to read the scenario below. You need to write a paragraph about what you would do if you were in this situation. Please add it to your Drugs slideshow!

      You are out one night with friends and they are drinking alcohol. One of them is ‘drunk’ and has consumed a lot of alcohol. He/she asks you to pass the bottle, so that he/she can have another drink. On a previous evening, this person had to go to hospital, due to drinking heavily. What would you do?


      Session two: We are focusing on self determination. How far can you push yourself

      Task: How many can you do?

      This session we are going to be looking at pushing yourself to your physical max!!

      You need to go onto the google classroom and complete the five fitness tests!! Once completed you need to turn it in so I can mark your name off!!




      Session three:We are focussing on self determination. Going hard in physical exercises.

      Task: Your task for today is to spell your name out! You need to do the exercise that is next to each letter. For example, if my name starts with o: I would do 40 jumping jacks.
