And here is the link to the Student Handbook: https://online.mhjc.school.nz/mod/glossary/view.php?id=9946  Go on, have a look!

I look forward to seeing you all on Friday.

  • 24 February - 1 March

Kiaora and welcome to Week 4.

This Friday is Teacher Only Day and Student Led Conferences. I look forward to seeing you and your caregivers.

  • 2 March - 8 March

Kia ora and welcome to Week 5 of Term 1!

Unfortunately I will not see you this week as I am on camp.

Here is the main task for today:

You are required to write a reflection statement that identifies the SMART goals you have set yourself in 2020 and the progress you are making to achieving these goals. You may choose to describe the actions you have taken, the successes you have had and the obstacles/challenges you have faced. This will be an unedited statement from you and will appear on your Holistic report.

    You may choose to use one of the below sentence starters to help (copy and paste these into the text box);

A goal I have set myself for 2020 is....
I have taken the following actions to meet this goal...
The successes I have experienced are...
The challenges I have faced are...

I also want to you document your caregivers' goals for you. That way we can review all goals in Term3 and check how successful you have been and what else there is for you to still continue working on.

After that task, you may spend time starting to work on your holistic report. You may already have some examples for some of the values that you want to document. If you are a Year 7, buddy up with one of the seniors who can help you.

I look forward to seeing you next week.

  • 9 March - 15 March

Kia ora and welcome to Week 6 of Term 1.

After taking the roll upstairs, we will go downstairs together to listen to a talk about the Mosque Shootings that happened 1 year ago. We will then observe a one minute silence to show our respect and to remember.

After that, if you are new or a Y7 and need help setting up your holistic report, stay downstairs. If you have no questions about the holistic report, we will meet upstairs again and start entering evidence.

I look forward to seeing you all

  • 16 March - 22 March

Kia ora...and welcome to Week 7 of Term 1. I hope you had a great week.

    Success Criteria:

Please select your DEEP options for Term 2 and either hand them or email them to Mrs Priest.

Check out the Website I shared with you to help with your holistic report

Start entering evidence to your holistic report

I look forward to seeing you all.
