Tuakana Teina refers to the relationship between an older (tuakana) person and a younger (teina) person and is specific to learning and teaching in the Māori context. Within learning and teaching contexts, this can take a variety of forms, such as peer to peer, younger to older, older to younger, and able to less able.

Throughout this term, students will explore a number of learning and teaching concepts within each of their specialist subject areas, culminating in an Self-Directed Project where they will choose an area of expertise to 'Teach' others in the form of a 'How To' Video Guide.
