Kia Ora Year 9 Drama,I hope you are well and keeping entertained during our first few days of self isolation.Over the next month I would like to start preparing for our first drama assessment. I will give you plenty of time when we get back to prepare properly but over the next month I would like you to complete the following things:
- Read over the instructions for the assessment in the PDF attached.
- Decide whether you would like to perform a monologue (script alone) or a duologue (script with a partner).
- Read through the scripts in the folders below. Decide which script you would like to perform (either a monologue or duologue).
- Rehearse your lines on your own, with your partner or your family.
- Begin deciding which VBSM (voice, body, space and movement techniques) you would like to use in your performance.
- Google hangouts chat with your partner (if doing a duologue) to rehearse.
- Email me if you would like any resources, tips or you have any questions. You are welcome to set up a time with me to video chat via google hangouts where I can give feedback on your performance or use of techniques so far.
Get your family involved and have fun with it!I expect you to have your lines memorised when we get back to school - but I will be flexible if you are unable to achieve this as I understand these are unprecedented times. Also, If you would like me to send you some drama games to play with your families over this time then please do get in touch. :) -
