  • 12 February - 18 February

    Kia ora...and welcome to Week 3 of Term 1.

    This week you will be issued with your own Micro:Bit and you will learn how to download your coded programme to it. We will be following the User Guide on GC to complete the introductory tasks. Mrs Priest and Mrs Roodt will come and check what you have already coded last week and mark you off.

    If you are a quick worker, you can then proceed to "Challenges" on GC.

    Success Criteria: I can/have...

    • download code to the Micro:Bit
    • code the Micro:Bit to radio another Micro:Bit
    • attempted a challenge

    Activities:

    1. Basic Coding Tasks in User Guide (Name, Heart, Emoji etc)
    2. Radio Activity in the User Guide
    3. Challenges listed in GC

      This week we will be learning about electricity and start using the breadboard.

      This week we will be continuing to finish the challenges with the breadboard and we will be starting to code our step counter and connecting it to a battery pack. We will then go for a walk in the tane to see how it works. Let's hope the weather will be fine!

      On Thursday I might introduce the assessment to you, so you can start working on it. It is due by the end of Term.
