    PE & English assessment

    Your task:
    You have been asked to contribute to a book that shares creative writing about taonga of Aotearoa. You can choose to create either a short story or a poem for the book. 

    Creative Writing Criteria:
    Your creative writing must be either a short story or a poem
    You must write about a taonga that is special to you and your connection with Aotearoa and you must share how it supports your well-being
    You must use at least THREE different literary devices in your short story/poem

    Instructions:
    You will have SIX sessions of class-time to complete your poem/short story. These sessions will be a mixture of English and PE & Health. You will need to use this time to plan, write and edit your creative poem/short story.
    You can also complete your writing at home for homework.
    Use the planning template and editing checklist to help get you started and to ensure your work is at the highest standard for publishing. 
    Once you have finished writing your creative poem or short story, PDF the document and upload it into the ‘Assignment ‘Submission’ on MHO by the due date.
