      Year 8 Wai Whanau students have been exploring statistics involving wai safety in Aotearoa. Students have been looking at variables such as culture and type of water that may affect frequency.  For this assessment, students must now look at the ways in which age may affect drowning data in Aotearoa. In this assessment students will be assessed on their understanding and application of PPDAC Cycle

      Year 8W2 Wai Whanau students have been exploring Survival of Maori culture involving Tattoos and of Kowhaiwhai patterns displayed inside the Marae. Students have been looking at their understanding and application of Transformations used in Tattoos and Kowhaiwhai patterns.  For this assessment, students must now look at the ways in which Kowhaiwhai patterns have been created and to which Iwi in it belongs to and also the meaning behind it. In this assessment students will be assessed on their understanding and application of Kōwhaiwhai patterns & transformations.
