  • MHJC NCEA 2023

    MHJC NCEA 2023

    This year, all year 10 students will have an opportunity to attempt an NCEA Achievement Standard three core subjects and two option subjects. Identified Year 10 student may have the opporuntity to attempt Numeracy, Literacy & Communication Corequisite CAA (common assessment activity).

    The Achievement Standard opportunity will be apart of a normal MHJC assessment (TAAB) of the internal Achievement Standard and the timing of this opportunities will be determined by your Whānau. The CAA Corequisite timings are determined by NZQA. 

    Students will, in consultation with their teacher make a decision as to whether or not they should attempt NCEA. This will require students to complete either a more detailed assessment task OR an extended assessment task.

    There is no longer a NZQA administration fee for NCEA

    All students need to read and follow the Handbook (below).  This handbook also contains all the forms in the Appendix.

    Friday 24th February - Pre-recorded webinar
    Students will watch both at school and at home with a parent/caregiver the Introduction to NCEA opportunities @mhjc2023 video presentation.
