    During this class, we will talk about What Spanish is all about.

    In our first class, I will introduce myself to the class and we will look at what Spanish is all about.

    Also in today's class also we will learn and practice how to greet and farewell people.

    1. With a partner  brainstorm all the Spanish you can think of meanings/movies/restaurant/food/celebrities

    Make this in an A3 color paper, DON'T USE INTERNET PLEASE FOR THIS ACTIVITY

    You can decorate your A3 paper with color and Spanish prompts

    2. Choose a Spanish name that you will like to have.

      Hola chicos y chicas, in today's class, will continue with the Spanish Alphabet and we will reinforce the Spanish sounds and how well you identified the sound with the letter. Also, you will create your own Spanish alphabet.

    Your introduction should include the following information:


    • Date of the day

     Spanish-Speaking Country Project


    1. Choose any country where Spanish is the main language to research. 


    1. You choose how to do it: Poster- etc be original!!!!


    1. Your project must include:


    1. The name of your chosen country in a prominent position on the poster

    2. A world map showing the location of your chosen country →

    3. Flag of the country –picture-meaning of the flag

    4. Currency - name of currency, picture of currency 

    5. Capital – population of the city, picture of the city, and at least one popular/historical destination one should see while visiting the city 

    6. Two famous people from country – name, date of birth, death date (if dead), why they are famous, picture of person

    7.  Three popular tourist destinations – include pictures, what makes it a popular destination, and any other interesting or important information about the destination

    8. Two holidays/customs celebrated in this country – explain the holiday, custom, or tradition, when is it celebrated and why, include pictures.

    9. Typical foods – include some typical foods eaten in the country, include pictures 

    10. Dance – what dances are home to this country and/or popular in this country, include name and description of the dance, video clip if available.

    11. Music – talk about at least one style/genre of music that is native to your country, include names of musical instruments used, popular musicians/band in         this genre, and clip of musical genre/style if available
