Paearu Angitu / Success Criteria: I can/have...
- Identify the different types of energy transformations.
 - Explain the role of aerodynamics in different sports.
 - Explain and identify different methods to improve reaction time.

Hei Mahi / Activities:
- Javelin Throw experiment- Take 2 A4 sheets of paper. Create a normal paper plane and a thin javelin. Test to see which one stays in air longer and which one travels the furthest.
 - Answer the following in your notebooks- 1) Explain which one of the 2 designs in the Javelin experiment travelled the longest and why? 2) Give different examples of how Drag force or air resistance is reduced in different sports.
 - Reaction time: Complete the reaction time experiment as in the attached document.
 - Complete the following questions in your notebooks- 1)Importance of Reaction Time: Discuss how reaction time plays a role in various sports, such as catching a ball in baseball, blocking a shot in basketball, or responding to a starting pistol in sprinting. 2)Factors Affecting Reaction Time: Explore how factors like focus, practice, age, and fatigue can influence reaction time 3)Individual Differences: Highlight that everyone has a different natural reaction time, but it can be improved with training and practice.
 - Complete Brain Pop task
 - You will be doing your presentations in class.
