  • We are learning about the Olympic Games. Students will research the organisation, history, qualifying standards, legends and current athletes.

    New Zealand Olympic team - Students create a bank of athletes attending the 2024 olympic games. Students also create a timetable of olympic events and times of the events. (Literacy Reading) (Interpreting timetables (Maths)

    Fitness evaluation #1

    Fitness speed and strength evaluation 

    Students learn to develop a goal driven individualised training program (Literacy -Writing)

    Health - Physical health

    1. Track and field events - Create a list (Literacy - Writing)

    2. Understanding timing - using a stopwatch - (Timing - Maths)

    Event #1 = High Jump

    Students watch and review two prepared coaching slide links. Students required to find 3 relevant coaching tips and record them on their slide. Refer to Approach, take off, flight and landing.
